I loved it (naturally, otherwise I wouldn't be here).I don't know what took me so long to play it again, but I had good memories of it, especially involving the A.I character and her base. But what surprised me was how fun it was to play. Half Life can be a choir a lot of the time, but Gunman was fun from start to finish (well, almost). I wasn't expecting it to stand that well, but it did, especially the chapter I had fond memories of, it's a beautiful design of a base. PROSExcellent guns and combat. There wasn't a fight too annoying or a moment too slow. Really fun, as a game should be.Great maps and designs. My biggest memory was that of the A.I base, but I was impressed with how good the game looked from start to finish, with some areas might have a few lacking parts, it still worked for the most part. There were a couple of stuck moments, but nothing too frustrating.Fun characters and story. Yeah, it's stupid (even with some plotholes covered) but it just wanted an excuse to have a lot of different planets and areas. Cheese at its best. The A.I character might've been trying to be S.H.O.D.A.N, but she's still entertaining to listen to.Building destroying. That shit earns its own mention. They were the best moments for me.CONSAs said above, I liked the game from start to finish, but the intro chapter was a bit sluggish and the ending disappointingly weak, both from a story and gameplay perspective.Bad balance. Not a big issue since its fun and not really a multiplayer game (primarily) but there was too much ammo/health, some enemies too useless and some weapons felt too broken.OTHERWhilst not a con or pro, I never really got round to using the different styles of gun attacks (par sniper). It's a great feature to have, but the controls didn't make it easy to switch around, and the default settings did the job that I needed the guns to do.I couldn't make my CD copy of Gunman to work, so I had to use the Half Life mod. It's a shame really I can't use it from its original source, but at least its playable.Surprising I found this game has quite a few sad moments, which was quite the unexpected outcome. Seeing the helping A.I drones flail around with none of them surviving felt pretty hitting. Even the computer screens with the DEAD dinosaur messages felt unnerving. via /r/gunmanchronicles https://ift.tt/3e97YTe
