Here's why you should vote this election

So I watched this video by contrapoints. I want to say this:Voting doesn't help revolutionise the system, everyone knows that. Voting does however work in preventing a raving fascist madman from completely destroying democracy. Just because the U.S.' democracy sucks doesn't mean it can't suck way worse (or stop existing, and not the way you'd want to). It can and not voting will bring it in that direction. So I'll answer a FAQ, and let me know later in the your response what you agree/disagree on:Voting signals agreement with the status quoNot really, no. At best it says that the status quo is so much better than 4 years of Trump than it's ridiculous. as long as you're vigilant and get your voice heard during the 4 years themselves, it won't say that. Once again it's an argument against "voting Biden for change". No one's voting Biden for change or to bring about a successful democracy so the argument is irrelevant.Voting diverts precious hours and energy away from radical projects.Voting is harder in the U.S. that it has any right to be and for some people it's impossible, but for the people who can vote it's not demanding to the degree you're making it to be. It diverts one day every 4 years.Now, everyone knows Obama's war record and drone strikes, and hate it. But it is irrelevant. Any comparison in pursuit to make the democratic candidates look worse, and Trump look better (so basically the rest of your post) should be laughable, and should be ignored.Basically, the only argument that can be made and that has a vague tangible effect is that voting gives support to the status quo.
