transformer question

hey so... i still use the opq (no i havent modded it. its still level 57 lmaoo. probably the weakest part of my build but u know what?? idc, my one is sooo beautiful and its anoint is so good) and recently i switched to transformer thinking how cool itd be to like, not enter ffyl every single time a random enemy decides to go from wherever to directly in front of my face in the timespan of .25 seconds (looking at you offscreen psychos, skags/maliwan dogs and ESPECIALLY the new event ghosts)... and i tested it and as expected, the explosion simply refilled me to max. it was awesome.buuut... for some reason in combat it sometimes (keyword sometimes. not always) just doesnt and instead kills me? and ive tested this, its only in combat. i stood there for around 5ish mins hitting myself with opq on the jack cutout and never did it ever knock me down or even drain my shield visibly. does anyone know possibly why this is? i play a zane with drone and shield. i thought maybe it had something to do with “futility belt”... so i thought every time i got a kill my shock explosion would become converted to a “standard” explosions for me but after respect no it isnt that. its not brain freezes excess cryo damage eitherthe only other kill skill i use is “cool hand” buffed by “death follows close”. and also my opq has “sntl active more cryo damage” anoint. thing is tho i swear i die with or without sentinel. could either of these damage boosts be the problem? any help would be appreciated~edit: omg im so dumb sorry, i think what it is is a combo of my sntnl cryo anoint and my artifact, that gives me immortality at low health, tricking me. what im noticing is with him active, it first damages me bc of the cryo, but then because of the artifact, the next explosion obviously dosent apply the cryo damage, but still heals the shock. then when it wears off, it goes back to killing me. ok!! glad i got that figured out. eh just farming shield would be a bit op anyway... besides i miss my genivive drones lmaoo, sry for wasting time. via /r/borderlands3 https://ift.tt/3jLqBOp
