Hello everybody, it's time for me to buy a new pair of headphones, would you give me a hand? The first info I want to give out is that I'm replacing a pair of HD 380 Pro, and after 5 years of intense use I must say I like them a lot. I was also thinking to buy them again, but no, I prefer to try something new.Budget - My budget is between 100 and 150€ (so up to 170$).Source/Amp - They'll be plugged always in a desktop pc or laptop. How the gear will be used - Primarily for home listening, and in an office environment, both pretty quiet. No flights and planes involved. But it's worth mentioning that I use them a lot. I work 8 hours a day and as I work I have them on all the time, and then also when I'm at home. In total I have the headphones on about 12 hours a day almost every day. This means they must be comfortable (the HD 380 Pro were super comfy in my opinion).Preferred tonal balance - I'd like a tonally balanced pair of headphones, but a pair that leans on the bass side is not to be discarded.Preferred music genre(s) - I listen to a lot of music, so I really think this point is not very relevant to me. Having to choose a genre I'd say stoner rock, with deep, fuzzy riffs; but then again, I also listen to ambient music with ethereal drones, or synthwave, idm, techno, everything really.Past gear experience - As already mentioned, I used to have the HD 380 Pro. I find them perfect, but they were my first pair so I feel obliged to try something new to have a better idea, let's say to compare the experience and understand headphones better. So, a pair of over-ear headphones that are comfortable, perhaps with a detachable cable, that sound good and last for years. I'm not sure which, in my case, would suit me better: open back or closed back you think? Maybe closed, for listening music at the office? Though even with open back I don't think the music would be audible from desks away.Do you have any models in mind? via /r/HeadphoneAdvice https://ift.tt/3kvS5HO
