New Specialization Concept: The Contractor


Ever wanted your own nail gun? Well, then the Contractor and the Carpenter are for you.The Contractor: Grants access to the weaponized nail gun, the Carpenter, a weapon inspired by the Rikers’ ingenious use of unconventional arms to fight in squad-based combat. As a SHD constructed weapon, the Carpenter is unique among its specialized weapons because it has ammunition that can be scavenged from the environment, however, these scavenged rounds are less effective than the specialized Armor Penetrating Nails. This weapon is effective from cover and compact enough to be used in conjunction with any shield, but it’s lack of a gunpowder propulsion system means that this weapon is most effective at mid to close range. Lastly, performing a melee attack with this weapon active will deal heavy damage against enemy armor while expending a round. A unique benefit to this weapon is it can target enemy skill proxies to deal bonus damage or repair allied skill proxies for 3% of their max health.Grenade: Paint Grenade: A special grenade that covers enemies in the radius with paint. This paint will highlight enemies for a long time while marking them for SHD systems, making them visible through cover. The fumes from this paint can disorient enemies for a set period of time as well, status effects augment this effect.No Pistol Variant.Talents Unique to Skill Tree:Loss Recuperation: Manually ending your skill proxies restores 20% of your total armor or when their health is depleted. Has a 120 second cooldown per skill. 1 Rank.Interceptor: A Firefly drone that patrols the area around the enemy. When an enemy uses a skill, the Interceptor will hone in on that enemy and cause the skill to automatically backfire while also expending itself. This skill deploys up to three drones, all that increases with skill tier is the duration they stay active and their cooldown speed. 1 Rank.Field Maintenance: Every second you are in cover gives you 2% bonus armor, up to 40% of total armor. Effect ends when moving to new cover.Specialization Ammo Acquisition: Whenever you break the armor of an Elite or higher enemy type, you will add 2 ammo to your specialization ammo meter. This effect works with the Carpenter equipped. 1 Rank.Team Ammo Acquisition: Whenever you break the armor of an Elite or higher enemy type, you will add 1 ammo to the specialization ammo meter of your squad. This effect works with the Carpenter equipped. 1 Rank.Specialization Weapon Damage: Reduces specialization damage falloff by 25%. Has 3 ranks.Armor Repair Boost: Using an armor kit restores 50% of total armor and grants you and allies +25% incoming repairs that stacks with other effects. Lasts until the end of combat and stacks twice.Armor Galvanizor: Killing an enemy grants 0.5% armor regeneration for 60 seconds to your entire squad. Has 3 ranks. Stacks up to 5 times. Additional kills do not refresh effect. Effect is paused between combat encounters.Grit and Grundge: Shooting an enemy with your sidearm increases the damage of your next melee attack by 100%. Stacks with other effects. 10 second cooldown.Steel Scrappers: Allies deal 10% more damage to enemy armor.Special Pickup: Looting or picking up Special ammo for your primary weapons or your sidearm grants adds 2 ammo to the team ammo bar. via /r/thedivision https://ift.tt/38LMISV
